Collaborate using Google Bookmarks

Google bookmarks can be accessed from any internet connection. Labelling (tagging) of the bookmarks simplifies finding pages you want to revisit. It is easy to share Google bookmarks with your team and a little innovation increases their usefulness.

Establish a Google account for your team

Simply set up a Google account for your team. You will need to set up an email address but this does not mean you will need to use it; something like projectx.team@gmail.com.

Prepare browsers for Google Bookmarking

All team members log into the account and from the Bookmark page and drag the ‘Google Bookmark’ Bookmarklet to the links area of their browsers.

Use innovative labelling

Google Bookmarking allows the addition of multiple labels to each bookmark. This allows innovative use, for example, labelling webpages with the name of the person who entered it, the project, subject, etc.

Stay logged in

If team members stay logged in to the team account, every time they bookmark a page it becomes available to other team members.

Other advantages

Sharing a team Google account also allows team members to share other Google applications, such as sharing a Google calendar.
